What does Scalestack do?
Scalestack is a software engineering company based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We build custom software, from new products and MVPs to AI-powered features and changes to systems you already run, and we advise on architecture, technology choices, and how a team delivers. You can engage us in more than one shape. We can take on a project as a whole, scoped and priced as a defined piece of work we are accountable for delivering. Or we can provide a team, whether that is a dedicated squad working only on your product or engineers who join yours for extra capacity. How do dedicated teams and team augmentation work?
With team augmentation, our engineers join your existing team and work in your meetings, tools, and codebase. It gives you added capacity without a long onboarding cycle or a permanent commitment. A dedicated team is a full squad assigned to your product that adopts your process and delivery rhythm and takes shared responsibility for outcomes. In both models we handle recruitment, vetting, and day-to-day management.
Who will I be working with?
The engineers who build your software. We do not use account managers, and there is no hand-off between a sales team and a delivery team. The person who scopes the work is the person responsible for delivering it.
Who owns the code and the intellectual property?
You do. Every design, every repository, and every line of code we write for you is yours. Your product vision stays yours throughout. Our role is to turn it into working software and to raise the engineering questions worth asking along the way.
What kinds of projects do you take on?
We work across industries and company stages, from startups building a first product to established teams with software already in production. The sector matters less than the shape of the problem: building something new, adding capability to a product that already exists, or improving a system the business depends on. How does Scalestack approach AI?
Most teams know AI could help somewhere in their product. The harder part is working out where it genuinely helps, then shipping something that holds up in production rather than in a demo. We help find that, then build it properly. We also use AI in the products we run ourselves, so this is not theoretical for us.
What technologies do you work with?
Broadly, and deliberately so. Our work spans web and mobile development, cloud and infrastructure, data engineering, and AI and machine learning, across the major languages and ecosystems in each. We are not tied to a single stack. If you already have a codebase, we work in what it uses rather than pushing you toward what we happen to prefer, and if you are starting from scratch, we pick the technology that fits the problem and the people who will maintain it. We are happy to talk specifics for your project.
Can you work on our existing or legacy system?
Yes, and a good part of our work is exactly that. Legacy systems usually carry the business, so changing them carries risk. We work incrementally through migrations, refactors, and rebuilds, so the business keeps running while the system improves. Sometimes the honest recommendation is that a full rebuild is not what you need yet.
